It is difficult to give an accurate “lifetime” estimate for inkjet prints, since manufacturers are constantly improving ink longevity. However, the archival inks I use, along with their appropriate print papers, have a lifetime of more than 100 years before noticeable fading occurs.
Inkjet inks have recently been tested for longevity by independent third party
laboratories associated with the printing industry. In accordance with these standards I
use archival inks and paper that have an expected print life span of 100-150 years. As
with all other works on paper, prints should be displayed under glass and out of direct
    sunlight.
